About Love City Food Tours

Inspired by local traditions and cuisine, Love City Food Tours was founded by a foodie dietitian and a Virgin Island native. We know St John is more than it’s beautiful beaches and wanted to share Love City's history and food scene while connecting fellow travelers and locals.

Our food tours are designed to be a fun way to fill your belly and explore Cruz Bay! We strive to provide unique food experiences for guests while supporting local St John restaurants. We believe food brings people together and there is no better way to form a connection than over a great meal. Come visit us for an enjoyable, safe and informative experience!

Ayla Shaw

Ayla is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in private practice on St Thomas specializing in diabetes and disease prevention. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, she has been living and working in the Virgin Islands since 2016.

Her passion for food drove her to a career in nutrition. Over the last few years, she has fallen in love with St John and it’s restaurants. Now, she wants to share the power of food and community with you through Love City Food Tours.

When she is not working she enjoys exploring the local food scene and being outdoors with her dog, Dobby, whether it’s at the beach or hiking! Check out Island RDN for more information on nutrition services available!

Alexander Querrard

Alexander Querrard is a native virgin islander; born and raised on the island of St. Thomas. After attending graduate school he returned home in 2016 and currently works as a clinical exercise physiologist who serves as the program manager for the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation program at the Schneider Regional Medical Center on the island of St. Thomas.

With a love for good food and drinks, Alexander believes that St. John’s dinning and culinary scene provides some of the best options for both visitors and locals who are looking to experience the best that St. John has to offer.

In his spare time Alexander enjoys experimenting with new recipes, going to the beach, hiking, and training martial arts.
